In April 2011 the Renewable Heat Incentive is due to begin which will enable housholders to earn a payment for generating heat from renewable sources like biomass and heat pumps.
The Low Carbon Buildings Programme has now closed, there are now no national grant schemes for housholders who wish to install renewable energy systems.
