Regen SW

Regen SW is the renewable energy agency for the South West of England. Their website has useful information, including sections on considering different renewable energy technologies and a SW suppliers directory. Regensw also run annual green energy awards.

Low Carbon Buildings Programme

The Low Carbon Buildings Programme provides grants for microgeneration technologies to householders, community organisations, schools, the public, not for profit sector and private businesses.

The National Energy Foundation

An educational charity with an aim to encourage sustainable sources of energy. Site provides advice, information, news and events. NEF also manages the Solar trade association and ground source heat pumps trade association.

The South West Climate Change Partnership

The partnership aims to inform and advise on impacts of climate change on SW England and to develop and communicate practical adaptation strategies.There are priority sector groups which look at the effects and impacts of climate change in the south west on specific sectors.

EnVision SW is a partnership of not-for-profit independent environmental business support organisations in the south west, offering cost saving and new markets support through their Business Mentors. EnVision's objectives are to help and support small to medium businesses in the south west through environmental business support.

The independent watchdog, energywatch, has created energyfuture to help promote and encourage the sustainable use of energy. Energyfuture gives facts on energy - how you can turn your home into a mini power station or be more energy efficient. It also features news, articles, and opinion pieces to inform and inspire.

Community Action for Energy

CAfE is a programme from the Energy Saving Trust that is designed to promote and facilitate local commuity-based energy projects. The programme provides information, support, advice and training course relating to community energy projects.

DARE (Devon Association for Renewable Energy)

DARE supports communties in Devon looking to install renewable energy through the Community Renewables Initiative and RE4D and is a membership organisation promoting renewable energy in Devon.

The Grassroots project aims to help people in the South Hams to lead more sustainable lives. The project provides people in the local area with direct access to information needed to make their sustainable decisions.

Trans-send

Trans-Send is a community-based environmental organisation, managed and operated by volunteers. Sustainable-Energy-North-Devon, in full its objects are ‘To promote sustainable living and the use of renewable energy by undertaking community based projects and providing information, training, education and advisory services. Trans-send role in RE4D is to provide client advice and mentoring within North Devon.

University of Exeter Centre for Energy and Environment

Centre for Energy and the Environment (CEE) at the University of Exeter is the delivery partner in the South West Energy and Environment Group, a partnership of local public authorities in the South West including Devon County Council, Torbay Council, Plymouth City Council and Devon and Cornwall Police Authority. The Centre works on a broad range of projects and its areas of expertise include knowledge transfer, research and teaching in energy/environmental issues including renewable energy and low energy buildings. CEE is involved in RE4D in a technical advisory capacity.

Good Energy supplies electricity from renewable sources and has schemes to buy electricity back from individuals and organisations with their own microgeneration.

Ecotricity supplies electricity from renewable sources and has schemes to buy electricity back from individuals and organisations with their own microgeneration.

Green Energy UK

Green Energy UK supplies electricity from renewable sources and has schemes to buy electricity back from individuals and organisations with their own microgeneration.

EBICo Ltd

EBICo has a green tariff and a scheme to buy electricity back from individuals and organisations with their own microgeneration.

EDF Energy

EDF has a green tariff for businesses and households that is generated from a mix of renewables and also a scheme to buy electricity back from individuals and organisations with their own microgeneration. They also give grants for renewable energy schemes through their Green Energy Fund which will be used to invest in the installation of renewable generation for community based and educational projects.
